The \u201dDivine Liturgy of Davydovych\u201d draws from the traditions of the early Baroque style with canons between two choirs and simple harmony patterns. One polytonal episode describes the battle in heaven; after the fighting between angels and the devil, the latter disappears from the score, sym-bolising God\u2019s victory. The concert ends with the triumphal glorifica-tion of the Heavenly Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Ensemble Musikia <\/p>\n<p>Iryna Synovets, soprano<br \/>\nOlha Zasadna, soprano<br \/>\nTetiana Yashvili, alto<br \/>\nMariia Skuratovska, alto<br \/>\nVilen Kilchenko, tenor<br \/>\nSerhii Nesteruk, tenor<br \/>\nIhor Kolomiiets, bass<br \/>\nOleksandr Dmytriiev, bass<\/p>\n<p>While studying in Kiev, Ihor Kolomiiets founded the Ensemble Musikia, together with other graduate students. specialises mainly in Ukrainian baroque music, works by both famous and anonymous composers, but also sings in church services.
